1. What We Collect

When you create an account, we collect the information you provide, which may include: your name, email address, ZIP code (for distance-matching), role (player/parent, team director, scout, or trainer), team information you claim or manage, player information you submit, trainer specialties and bio, reviews you post, and social profile links you choose to share.

We automatically collect limited technical information necessary to run the Service, including your IP address (used for rate limiting and abuse prevention) and standard web-server logs.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide the Service — including matching players with teams by distance, showing team and trainer profiles, moderating content, and preventing abuse.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not run third-party advertising networks on the Service.

3. What We Show Publicly

Public: Team profiles (name, city/state, coach, age group, division, gender, circuit, description, logo, website, social links) and Trainer profiles (name, ZIP, specialties, years of experience, bio, hourly rate, social links) are visible to all visitors — including logged-out users.

Restricted: Player profiles (including name, ZIP, height, age, and grad year) are only visible to logged-in Team Directors or Scouts who have been manually verified by an administrator. This protects minors' data.

Contact details for teams (phone, email) are only shown for verified team owners.

4. Cookies & Advertising

We use one strictly-necessary session cookie ("access_token") to keep you signed in. This cookie is HTTP-only, Secure, and marked SameSite=Lax. It is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

We use browser localStorage to remember whether you accepted these Terms and your advertising-cookie choice, so we don't ask again on every visit.

Advertising: Travel Sports Info LLC uses third-party advertising, including Google AdSense, to help keep the Service free. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this Service and/or other sites on the Internet.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com). You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting aboutads.info/choices (US), youradchoices.com, or youronlinechoices.eu (EEA/UK). Where required, we ask for your consent before serving personalized ads via the cookie banner, and you may choose non-personalized (contextual) ads or reject advertising cookies entirely.

If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, personalized ads are only served after you consent. For these regions a Google-certified consent-management platform (CMP) supporting the IAB TCF should be used; contact an administrator for the current CMP status.

5. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for use by athletes 13 and older, or by a parent/legal guardian acting on behalf of a younger athlete. If you are a parent or guardian creating or managing a profile for a minor, you represent that you have the legal authority to do so.

We restrict access to individual player profiles to admin-verified team-side accounts to reduce exposure of minors' data. If you believe a minor's information has been submitted without appropriate consent, contact an administrator to have it removed promptly.

6. Security

We store passwords using industry-standard bcrypt hashing (never in plaintext). Authentication tokens are HTTP-only cookies with a short 24-hour lifetime. We rate-limit sensitive endpoints to slow brute-force attempts.

Despite these measures, no system is perfectly secure. We cannot guarantee that unauthorized third parties will never defeat our safeguards. You submit information at your own risk.

7. Your Choices

You may view, edit, or delete your account information at any time via your profile settings. Deleting your account removes your account and personal information from the Service, though anonymized aggregates (e.g., team-review averages) may persist.

To request a copy of the data we hold about you, or to exercise other applicable data-protection rights, contact an administrator through the Service.

8. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by an updated version date. Continued use of the Service after any update constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.
